For the last two months we couldn't go in the Regis gym because of construction. School is back in session this week and the gym is open!

What a fun month!

Lake Tahoe trip to begin the month, then Grandma Linda arrived, and then I started at a new school!

Students have to be at least 5 years old to participate in the after school programs at Centennial so I'll start that in November. In the meantime, Grandma Linda is staying with us and she gets to collect me every afternoon at 3:45. It's been a bit of an adjustment for Dad who was used to dropping off and picking up both kids. Now he only handles John's drop-off and pick-up.

We're all heading over to Back To School Night on Thursday so hopefully we can share some pictures.

Our next session of swim lessons starts tonight. As of this morning, both kids were excited about that.

John and I requested the same questions this month:

John: Elsa

Tess: Volleyball (that's what they've been practicing at the Regis gym recently)

John: Trombone

Tess: Upright bass AND bass drum

John: Bear hunt (editor's note: this must be something at school)

Tess: My favorite song is the Okee Dokees because of the bass

What's your favorite movie?

John: Zootopia

Who is your favorite Twins player? (We have seen a lot of baseball lately)

Bus

Dad and John took the bus to Home Depot on Saturday. The excitement of the bus and Home Depot was too much to handle on short ride home.

Fish

My first fish was caught last Friday!

Dad was excited to hear that I'm ready to go again!

After boats, beaches, and other fun, no one had any issues falling asleep each night!

Getting to the beach near our house in Tahoe City was about a 3-block walk. We got pretty good at loading up the wagon and bringing everything we needed!

The house in Tahoe City that Grant, Maggie, and Gael had rented for three weeks. It was located next door to their friends Darrell and Randall.

We had time to unpack on the Sunday that we arrived and then it was off for a boat ride on Darrell and Randall's boat!

Another road trip

We had a fantastic road trip to Lake Tahoe last week. Today's post is all about the road trip out there.

Our first night was near Park City, UT.

A picture with my favorite teacher during my last week at Family Star! Luckily I'll still get to see Minnie every once in a while when I go to Family Star to help drop-off or pick-up John.
