5 years, 6 months & 3 years, 3 months

Happy half birthday to me! Dad totally forgot it was monthly picture day so luckily Mom reminded him shortly before church this morning. We voted for the porch and then discovered it was way too sunny!

Tess

5. Why were all the kids jumping on the tables? Dorian was excited for his birthday cake and he kept knocking drinks over [editor's note: Dad had no idea this actually happened yesterday. He was just trying to think of a funny question.]
6. What do you wish you could do all day today? Play at home!

Buddies

Dad was putting his boots on while facing away from John when he heard, "Dad, take a picture!"

More library

We voted to head to the Central Library again last Saturday. They always have a cool project set-up in the Children's area. Saturday's focus was on building and construction.

Some of the building materials found their way into John's belly.

And of course we had the mandatory stop at the iPads to play the same games we have at home.

Shades

Dad had no idea I was riding in style until he glanced back at me while we were stopped at a red light.

Another brewery

Mom and Dad took us to a new brewery recently that featured more family friendly things like popcorn, peanuts, pinball, and skeeball!

History Colorado

We took a family trip over to the History Colorado Center on Sunday to see their new baseball exhibit. Of course we only visited the baseball stuff for a few minutes and then spent two hours in the rest of the museum!

 John and I were a bit too short, so just ignore the hands holding us up!

Brewery

John boycotted his nap on Saturday so he got to head over to the brewery for puzzles with Dad. Not quite the right reinforcement for skipping a nap, but it was fun!

 Mom and I eventually joined in on the fun!

After one of the songs we walked over to say hi to the band members and got to see their instruments up close! They were on a band trip from Wisconsin.

Also, John is convinced he wants to play the drums when he gets older.

Science Sunday

Dad and I walked over to Regis on Sunday for a kids' science event in which college students were sharing over 25 science experiments. It was amazing! My favorite experiments involved Peeps and jelly beans, but Dad only pulled out the camera for one of the solar system activities.

Rockies

Mom took us to the Rockies' game on Saturday and it was a little different than a typical game...
