Minnesota 3

On Saturday morning, I got to hang out with Grandma while Mom, Dad, Dawn and Jess went to the Minnesota State Fair. Dad, Dawn and Jess were excited to show Mom what all the excitement was about.

Dad had to spend several hours with these three.

As we all know, my Dad is a dork.

Mom's highlight of the fair? 

Seeing Princess Kay of the Milky Way having her head carved in butter.

After Mom and Dad got home, we were off to a BBQ with Katie and Brendon and all of their wedding guests...

I am excited for the day when I can just get up and walk away from Mom when she tries this stuff.

I've had pasta before. I've had cheese before. 

But did you know you can mix pasta and cheese and it's delicious? I ate a ton of it.

Minnesota 2

After we landed, we stopped by our friend Jess' house to pick up some equipment for me (pack-n-play, stroller, booster seat, and toys). Then it was home to Grandma's house for lunch and a nap.

Then it was back to Jess' house for pizza with friends. I love pizza and ate a lot of it. And then I had more. And a little while later I had even more!

Minnesota 1

We're home! And we had a wonderful trip to where Dad grew up in Minnesota. Our long weekend was filled with excitement so we'll break it up into several posts over the next few days. But let's start where any plane trip starts...

This one is blurry because Dad didn't want the flash to go off in my face. But at least it shows what I did for most of the flight. That's Dad's leg under my head and my body was mostly on Mom's lap. I went to sleep before take-off and woke up with about 25 minutes left in the flight.

After I woke up, I had a little snack (hence my bib) and then played a bit with my new toy.

Ten months

What a fun month I've just completed. Highlights include: Visits from three grandparents, my baptism, and my first tooth. Dad's teeth showed up later than average so we're not surprised that mine are taking their time popping up.

I love trying new foods and I'd prefer to feed myself, if possible. Cheese, yogurt, and pasta are some of my current favorites. And of course I go nuts for Cheerios. In fact, I'll go nuts even if I hear the bag crinkle from the other room. I still like my bottle, of course, but only if I get to hold it.

No words yet, but I'm getting pretty good at communicating what I want by looking at it and willing it to move towards me. And when that doesn't work, I grunt so that Mom or Dad get the hint. Books have always been enjoyable, but did you know that there are stories inside them? I've learned this month that they're not just for chewing!

My physical therapy continues to improve. I enjoy standing with the help of an adult, I can roll every direction and I'm so close to being able to get myself up into a seated position. I'll be riding that dog of mine in no time!

Quick note: Tomorrow morning I get to start my 11th month with my first plane ride. We're heading to Minnesota for Cousin Katie's wedding! I'm sure we'll have lots of pictures to share, but I don't know when they'll get posted. Probably after we get back next Monday.
