Las Chicas
What you can't see in this photo is that I'm facing our dining room table where there were eight women sitting around enjoying brunch on Saturday. I loved it. And I sat with them for an hour just being one of the girls!

Six months
I'm six months old today!
Keillor and I weren't in the mood for pictures this morning, so we'll try to get a better one this evening.

Dad, we're both too tired for pictures.
Oh, fine. Here's one quick smile.
And then Keillor decided he had enough energy to help clean up any leftover rice cereal from my elbow.
This month I've enjoyed trying real food! The rice cereal and oat cereal are ok, I guess, but I really love sweet potatoes and carrots. I continue to figure out how to use my hands. Mom's glasses and hair are my favorite targets lately. I love sitting upright in my chair, wagon rides and dancing with Mom and Dad. I know how to squeal really well now and I occasionally lay in my crib after waking up and just talk to myself!

Costumes
It was our church's 90th anniversary party today and we were all asked to dress up in attire from one of the past nine decades. Mom went 1920s flapper, Dad with 1990s grunge, and I had some sort of sailor dress. I had a lot of fun and was asleep about 25 seconds after hitting my car seat!

Let's get out of here
It's a beautiful sunny day and Keillor and I are going to make our escape!
Giddy-up!

Hospital checkup
We went back over to the hospital on Wednesday for a routine checkup. The best news we received is that I'm officially done with my seven weeks of antibiotics. I no longer have to drink that nasty flavored liquid three times a day!
As for my hips, we'll know more in a couple weeks when I go in for an arthrogram (May 9th), but the docs think things are going well. We tried another ultrasound on Wednesday, but I've reached the age where I have too much baby fat for the images to be of much help!

Waiting for Dr. Booker.
I've really caught on to the fact that I should smile when I see the camera.
I only get to take the harness off at the doctor's office which means I only get real baths at the doctor's office. Here's me enjoying a little post-bath snooze while waiting for Dr. Brazil.

Going to parties
The best part about going to parties is that I never touch the ground. We celebrated Erin's birthday party last weekend and I was held by a variety of people for over three hours. So much fun!
My face doesn't really reflect it, but I loved sitting on Sara's lap while staring at the fire.
Pretty sure Robin was dancing with me here.

Shopping just got more fun
I'm finally big enough to sit in a shopping cart! My harness is the perfect size to allow both of my legs to fit through the cart leg holes. Shopping is way more fun now that I get to look around.
Here's me in a grocery cart, but I have to say that I fit much better in a Home Depot cart.

More work for Dad
We got a new toy the other day. I love it. Dad's not so sure. He thinks this means he's going to have to go hiking more this summer.
This makes me way taller than Mom!

Rockies game
Thank you to Uncle Brady for giving us tickets to last night's Rockies' game! We stayed for the whole game! I enjoyed the first 4 innings (the giant scoreboard was my favorite part), then had a snack at 7:45 and promptly fell asleep on Mom's lap while my folks enjoyed the rest of the game.
The only sad news is that Dad forgot to bring the camera. So we snapped a few when we got home...

The friendly Guest Relations man gave me a button.
I don't get it. What's a button for?
Mom says I can't play with it and it really doesn't taste so good.

Setting a precedent
Dad went on a work trip last week and he returned with gifts from Minnesota!
Stupid wrapping paper. Can a baby get a little help?
It's a book!
Oh, another book? Actually, I'm learning to like this wrapping paper stuff.
A Twins book? So? Checkout this wrapping paper!
New Twins outfits! Sure, whatever.
Best toy ever! Thanks for the wrapping paper, Dad!

Ballgame yesterday
As I mentioned last weekend, we got to head back over to Regis University yesterday for another baseball game! It was a tad cold, but nice in the sunshine.
Parked near the outfield fence.
Heading home with Mom as the engine.
Catching a little nap on the way home. Notice I haven't let go of my toy!

More food
You can compare these pictures to the ones from last weekend. I think I'm getting the concept!
I'm very good at opening my mouth when I see the spoon coming.
I still like to try to help by grabbing the spoon, as well. The issue is that when I have the spoon, I'm more likely to try to feed the food to my cheek, nose or chin.
On break until Sunday: My main photographer and computer helper (Dad) is leaving for a few days, so I won't be posting again until the weekend. He's going to a work conference in Minnesota and Mom will be in charge. Who knows? Perhaps she'll take a few shots and I can get them up here for my regular readers, but I just wanted to set some expectations. See you all soon!

Take me out to the where?
The whole family walked (ok, I rode) over to Regis University to watch some of the baseball game this past Sunday. Actually, I played with my toys and Mom read her People magazine. Dad and Keillor watched the game.
Rumor has it that we're heading back over there this coming weekend!

Guaranteed smile
Just like my Mom, I'm always in a good mood right after eating!
Just hanging out waiting for a burp!

Tongue
Hamming it up again.
That's my Dad and Grandma in the background. Grandma came out to visit for over a week a couple weeks ago. She even took a bunch of my full-body baby outfits and modified them into shirts so I can wear them with my harness!

Food
This just happened...
My first taste of something other than breast milk or formula (rice cereal)
They keep asking me if I'm ready. What does it look like?
First taste. Sure, it's ok. But what else do you have?
Here, just give me the spoon. I get how it works.
Super fun to play with. Not sure if I really swallowed any!
Sure, it's kind of a boring flavor, but that doesn't mean I can't lick the extras off my bib!

After-bath snack
We're not allowed to remove my harness at home so that means I've only had sponge baths for the last few weeks. Well, Wednesday at Dr. Booker's they took my harness off and I got a real bath!
I loved it.
And it got better when Mom gave me a bottle afterwards. Best doctor visit ever!

Wake me up when there's something to do
We went back to the hospital yesterday for my check-up (everything is going well) but there was a lot of waiting around for the various appointments. I needed a nap and luckily my folks packed some pillows to make the wagon cozier!
Health update: My PICC line was removed and my hips seem to be making some improvements. Both Dr. Booker and Dr. Brazil agreed that the harness is making a difference. We'll go back again in three weeks for another check-up!

Seefood?
One would think that it would be Dad teaching me how to do gross things for the camera. Guess Mom's trying join in the fun, as well!
