Nine months

Well, it was Keillor that wasn't very cooperative this month. We did two separate photo sessions and you'll see that he hardly ever looks at the camera!

 Keillor! Look! It's the camera!

Well, at least he makes a good back rest.

Let's be serious now.

Evidently we've continued last month's trend of ignoring Dad when he says, "Look over here!"

What a pretty necklace Keillor gets to wear.

Perhaps he just needs a little hand-holding.

Or maybe a little reassurance that it's ok to look at Dad.

Big things this month: I can eat pretty much anything I want now. Sure, teeth would probably help (still none), but I can gum most things. My diet still consists mostly of the baby food that Dad makes, but I get stuff off of Mom and Dad's plates now, too. My favorites this month: Kalamata olives, feta cheese, pesto pasta, orzo, cut up nectarines, pancakes and Cheerios. In fact, Cheerios are quite possibly the first brand I recognize. After I'm done with my meal each night, Mom or Dad gets the Cheerios box out of the cupboard and as soon as I see it I smile really big (and sometimes grunt with joy). Keillor gets excited, too, because he knows I'll drop a few on the floor for him.

Speaking of smiles, I am great at greeting Mom or Dad with a big one when they get home from work. I still love my wagon rides and I now sit upright the whole way without support from my pillow backrest. I am also good at tossing my toys out of the moving wagon.

The physical therapy sessions for my hips continue to go well. I roll over in both directions pretty well and my abdominal muscles are getting really strong. I am starting to get the hang of how to sit myself up and how to get into a crawling position.

I love Keillor. I'll try to reach out to him when eating and he likes to lay near me when I'm playing on the floor.

And Dad's plan of making me a Wisconsin Badger is starting to take hold. I now smile nearly all the time when I hear him sing "If You Want To Be a Badger."
