My large smile tells you two things:
(1) It's a special treat to be on Mom and Dad's bed and
(2) It's a very special treat to be playing with the iPad!

Keillor and I were in the mood to play and not take pictures this afternoon. These were the best Dad could get!

 

Keillor is still a lot taller than me.

 

 

 

 

 

Tons of excitement this past month. Of course, the highlight was all the friends and relatives that came to visit. I had so much fun playing with all of the cousins a couple weeks ago and Grandma Linda is still here until the end of August. She even took me to IKEA for lunch yesterday and I was allowed to eat as many meatballs as I wanted.

Several of our regular blog readers happened to be over for dinner a couple weeks ago when I decided to sample some mustard. Sure, I've enjoyed it in the past on hot dogs, but this time I wanted it plain. Yep, just a spoonful of mustard, please. And I kept asking for more. Not much ketchup eating on the Lubansky-side of the family! Other favorites this month: Angel food cake, whipped cream, and peanut butter sandwiches.

I'm rattling off more words and phrases everyday. I often have to repeat them several times before Dad or Mom understand what I'm saying. And other times I like to just sit with Keillor and tell him stories. At least he doesn't ask me to keep repeating myself.

My physical therapy is coming along well. Two weeks ago our physical therapist let me take home a walker so that I could better practice my walking. It's allowed me a bit of freedom and I'm usually smiling while using it. At our appointment with Dr. Novais a couple weeks ago he thought I would be walking on my own in two or three months. Pretty exciting to think about!

Adults

What Dad didn't do when folks were visiting last week was get pictures of all the grown-ups. But here are two worth sharing...

Keillor was a good sport with all the cousins visiting last week. This first picture sums it up.

 

Wren and I had a blast together. One of us would do something (like shove the other one off Keillor) then we'd both get crabby and then four seconds later we'd be laughing, high-fiving and sharing a snack.

Popsicles

Grandma Candy and Grandpa Rick gave Zoe a popsicle mold for her birthday last weekend and we all benefited from it while she was visiting!

 

More cousins

Several people were taking pictures of this group on the couch so I reserve the right to post a better version at a later date. But these two were the best that Dad got...

 

And just imagine the group of adults dancing and hollering behind the camera in an attempt to get us all looking in the same direction.

Cold water

Four of my cousins were in town from last Thursday through yesterday. We had a blast and I was exhausted at the end of each day. It was very hot so we had the water table and little pool out quite a bit. But the water was cold!

 

 

 

 

 

Trike

They had a trike that I got to ride at Zoe's birthday dinner. I clearly hated it...

Zoo birthday

Zoe's 4th birthday was last weekend and she chose to take us all to the zoo!

Memory

Granny Nanny arrived last week and she's staying until Labor Day! Yep, you read that correctly. Grandma will be taking care of me during the days until I head to Montessori in early September. So far we've been having a lot of fun with all of the activities Grandma brought from Minnesota.

Cousins

South Carolina cousins arrived on Friday! And we all got to go to the baseball game because the Rockies were playing the Twins!

We are not very good at taking pictures as a group, though. Two more cousins arrive this Thursday so we've got time to practice for the group picture.

Dad counted this one as a success since we're all looking the same direction.

Paint

Dad was home with me one afternoon last week and it was just too hot to play outside. So he mixed me up some finger paint!

Flip flops

If only I could find something more my size.

OCD

Dad left me with my full picnic basket last weekend and returned a couple minutes later to find this:

Mom is worried that I'm spending too much time with Dad.

Although Dad pointed out that the yellow and blue plates are both slightly off the picnic blanket. And not in line with the pink plate. And the fork is a bit askew.
