Monthly picture time! Dad actually had a work event this morning so he snapped the photos while we were still in our pajamas.
John is typically the one who decides when our photo sessions are over.
Updates from April:
My cast was removed nearly two weeks ago and I'm back to 100%. They sent me home with a wrist brace (like you'd get at Walgreens or something like that) and I wore it for about two days while I got used to using my wrist again. But then Dad conveniently forgot it at home one day and I forgot about it, as well.
I've been enjoying art class on Thursday evenings. Our instructor at the rec center (Mr. Chris) is amazing. I think Mom has even started to look forward to going with me! And for the next seven weeks, I'll be heading to gymnastics classes again on Saturday mornings. Dad went with me to the first session last Saturday and I picked up right where we left off last fall with the running, jumping, and balance beam work (even though I'd only had my cast off for a few days).
John and Dad are back to swim lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next few weeks. John was ready to go this past Thursday evening and even enjoyed demonstrating his swimming techniques at the supper table (arms and legs flailing all over). When he got into the pool, all he wanted to do was kick, kick, kick.
Major League Baseball season is back at our household. Dad puts a little of the Twins' games on the TV most evenings and we all went down to Coors Field this past week for a Rockies' game. Actually, Dad and I went to two games this past week! (pictures to be posted next week)
Questions asked by Dad to Tess:
- What concert would you most like to attend? The Okee Dokee Brothers
- What is your favorite art project that you've done at art class? The one where we crushed the chalk pastels and used the dust to dip our paper
- What is your favorite thing to do at gymnastics class? Trampoline
- Rockies or Twins? Rockies
- Who is your favorite Twins player? Joe Mauer
- What was your favorite candy or dessert thing from Easter? Iced animal crackers and the nest cake
Questions asked by Dad to John:
- What is your favorite thing to do at swim lessons? Blow bubbles and kick
- What is your favorite song? Elsa (We think this means one of the songs from the Frozen soundtrack)
- What CD do you most like to listen to in the car? Elsa!
- Who is your best friend at school? Alejo
- What is your favorite toy in the garage? Bike
- What is your favorite food to work with during food prep time? Egg!
(This is usually what John gets to do right after arriving at school each morning. It serves as a little snack to last until breakfast time, as well! The other options typically include orange, cheese spread on crackers, strawberries, or apples. Each item has a different skill/work involved like cutting, peeling, etc.)
