Since it was a school morning, Dad said that if John and I got ready super fast, we could watch the video before leaving for school. John doesn't tend to sit very still for TV or videos normally, but this subject caught his attention.

Fishing
I woke up one morning last week and asked Dad if we could watch "that video with the bears and the fish." It's a video Dad and I saw several months ago and for some reason it just popped into my head.

4 years, 7 months & 2 years, 4 months
Monthly picture time. And it only took one shot this month to get us all looking at the camera!
We won't have a huge update this month because we're all tired from our trip to New Jersey this past week. We just got back this evening and we all had a great time. We got to stay at Uncle Leon's house which is right next door to Grandma Lila and Grandpa John's house. We'll post pictures starting later this week, but it was an action packed week.
Other excitement from this past month: Tumbling classes, swim lessons, art class, and baseball games. We think those have been documented fairly well on the blog the past few weeks so we'll leave it at that.
Monthly questions asked by Dad:
Asked to Tess -
Favorite thing at Uncle Leon's house: Heated floor in the bathroom
Favorite outing in New Jersey: Pony rides (thank you, Aunt Judey!)
Favorite thing you ate in New Jersey: Donut (from the local bakery)
Favorite airplane activity: iPad!
How excited was Keillor when we got home? Super excited
Asked to John -
Favorite thing at Uncle Leon's house: Bouncy house (thank you, Aunt Judey!)
Favorite outing in New Jersey: Train rides (3 days in a row!)
Favorite airplane activity: Bus! (we are not sure what this means, but I think it means the bus we took from the main terminal back to our car)
How excited was Keillor when we got home? No words, but John hopped up and down and shook his arms from side to side.

Mazes were the focus of the craft activities at the central library last weekend.
Creating a maze for a marble to roll through.
Following a maze of letters.

Gardening
It was only the guys at Family Night at school last Thursday. I opted to take Mom over to the rec center for art class instead.
John got to pot some plants with Dad and he made a seed strip (seeds glued to a paper towel strip) that we can just bury and everything is already spaced nicely.

Ballet
We were invited to a free dance and movement class organized by the Colorado Ballet folks last weekend. It was a ton of fun!
Checking my pliƩ position.

Hot fudge
It was teacher appreciation week at Family Star last week, so we helped Dad make caramel sauce and hot fudge for all of our teachers. Or more accurately, I helped Dad and John watched from a safe enough distance!

Central branch
Dad and I made a stop at the central library branch last weekend while Johnny was napping. They had tons of fun stuff set up for DĆa del NiƱo!
They library staff had a huge green screen set up so they took my picture and stuck it on one of my favorite books!

Rockies
Take us out to the ball games!
Dad and I joined Jeff, Wren and Zoƫ the following day for Science and Weather Day with the Rockies. The highlight was the science show before the game for about 15,000 kids. It included rockets, cloud making, and a really neat demo of the MLB Statcast system (at least it was really cool according to Dad and Jeff).

Guest readers
Cousins Steve and Jane came for a visit last week. And what do we do with visitors at bedtime? We hand them books.
