Here's the best pics we've got for this month's update. Johnny won't sit still and Keillor refused to lift his head!
We tried to hook John onto my leg and it worked for a few seconds.
Keillor was worn out from all the activity the past several days.
We've hosted a bit of mayhem over the past five days with a bunch of house guests. It was so much fun! You'll see pictures throughout the week.
Speaking of fun, this past month has been a ton of fun, as well.
John is growing up too fast! He's not crawling yet, but he's moving very quickly with his upright scooting. We can no longer leave him in a room by himself. I'm getting really good at hollering for Mom or Dad when I see him going for a power cord or something else unsafe, too.
Part of the Montessori philosophy is using real plates and utensils at meals and John is actually getting quite good at drinking from a cup. Occasionally it ends up all over his face, but he loves being in charge of something at mealtime. His new favorite food this month: Lefse.
We've got snow on the ground now and Johnny loves looking at it. The past few days it's been about 15 or 20 degrees on our evening walk and he enjoys being all bundled up in the cool weather.
John's biggest news this month: Teeth! Two on the bottom and it looks like two more are getting ready on the top.
I think we've mentioned it in past posts, but I've started swimming lessons again. I'm in the big kid class now and Dad isn't in the pool with me. The first night I barely got my swim suit wet. Dad bribed me with a Wendy's Junior Frosty on the second night and that worked!
It snowed a bit over the long Thanksgiving weekend so we took the Seattle cousins outside to play. I loved it. Dad pulled us around in the sled and I can't wait for more snow. I am also much more comfortable walking around in snow pants and boots. That was not the case last winter.
My new game for inside the house: Racing. I love running from the kitchen to the front door. No accidents yet.
A lot of excitement on tap for this coming month. We said goodbye to seven out-of-town relatives today and we'll get another arriving in mid-December (Grandma Linda). The big event this coming week: Our trip on Thursday night to the ballet!
